1) Keep yourself busy with positive ventures and adventures. Anger is a very negative and often destructive emotion. You need a big-time mental distraction to help you keep your mind and thoughts on things that are more positive in nature. Join a club, take up a new hobby, go back to school, or do any number of things that are designed to keep you active and occupied. This will help you deal with anger as well as the hurt people often feel after breaking up.

2) Vent. Venting is good. It gives you the opportunity to express the anger you're feeling in a way that isn't destructive to yourself or others. People join the gym, beat up a punching bag, write poetry, create works of art, or even write music as a form of venting the emotions that seem to be overwhelming them at any given moment. You can do the same to help you deal with the anger you're feeling.
3) Solve the problem. Sometimes we mere mortals get so caught up in the moment or the details that we fail to see the big picture or even the possible solution. You're hurt and angry because you've broken up with the love of your life. So the simplest solution in this case would be to get your ex back. It's one of those solutions that's so simple it's often overlooked. The details or the "how" of the situation might not be all that simple but what needs to happen in order to deal with your anger, hurt, and sense of betrayal is definitely clear.

If you don't deal with your anger properly and promptly it can cause all sorts of problems down the road. It's alright to be angry at a time like this. It's just not OK to let that anger consume you. Getting your ex back can help you deal with your anger and put it behind you once and for all.
