How do I Make Him Want Me Back?

Your boyfriend is gone with the wind. It's left you feeling cold and alone in a way you never remember feelings these two things before. You can't figure out what went wrong and all you want to know right now is: "How do I make him want me back?"

It's a good question to ask in your situation but one that needs more than a little thoughtful consideration. The first main concern is whether or not you really want him back or just think you should want him back.

Ask yourself a few pointed questions to help you make this monumental decision.

• Do you really love your ex boyfriend?
• Do you believe your relationship was truly happy?
• Does your boyfriend still love you?
• Did he ever love you?
• Are you still willing to walk on fire for him?
• Did you have more good times than bad times together when you were together?
• Are you sure he's really "the one" for you?
• Why do you want him back?
• Why do you love him?

These aren't earth shattering questions. But they are questions you need to have answers to before you decide to go through the process of trying to get him back. Once you do, it would be a shame to instantly decide that you really didn't want him after all.

Assuming you still want him back there are two steps you can take that will greatly improve the likelihood that he's going to want you back. Some of them might surprise you.

Be Happy Without Him

Guys can't stand this. It will drive him crazy to see that you're not only surviving without him in your life but THRIVING without him there. Don't let him see you curled up and crying. Don't put on 15 extra pounds digging into the nearest gallon of Godiva's best ice cream. Don't let him see you suffer.

Let others see how well you're doing without him and the word will get back to him. If nothing else he'll feel a little twinge that perhaps you didn't miss him as much as he would have liked. But more likely than not he's going to want to know why you're doing so well without him. Curiosity is a POWERFUL motivator.

Make Him Make the First Move

When you make no effort to contact him… when you are out of sight and out of touch you will be on his mind more than if you were a constant presence in his life. He's expecting you to ask for a second chance. He's expecting you to call and offer him the chance to come get his stuff.

When you don't do these things it's going to force him to make the call, get his stuff, and contact you. It will throw him off his game a little bit and show him that you're setting your own rules and not playing by his.
