Cheating doesn't mean your marriage is over but it could mean that your wife is emotionally moving on. There is still room to recover even though she's building walls and shutting down emotional access to you.

How do you get through to your cheating wife?

1) Woo her all over again. Yep. You heard right. You have to go back to the beginning and work to win her heart once again. The good news is that you know the right moves to make. The bad news is two-fold. First, you're probably a little bit rusty when it comes to wooing your wife. Second, you have some pretty hefty competition this time around that you probably didn't have before.

2) Make her feel needed and appreciated. She probably still loves you. It takes a while for her to shut down complete and total emotional access when it comes to you. The longer you've been married the longer it will take, in general, for her to close down those emotions. She wants to make you happy even if it goes against her desires to be happy herself. Your mission in this case is to convince her that she does make you happy for all the big and small needs in your life that no one meets or has ever met the way your wife does.

3) Show her glimpses of the man she fell in love with. It's true. Your wife probably saw you as a project from day one. That doesn't mean that she doesn't adore some of the very things she's worked to "train" right out of you. Show her some of your old incorrigible and romantic spirit. Be the man she fell in love with and she'll have a hard time sticking to her guns and pulling away from you completely.

4) Get her away from the other man for a little while. Take a week away, just the two of you. No matter how much of an expense it may be it's not worth losing your marriage by not doing it. No kids, no work, just the two of you together. It might not be the most romantic outing you've ever gone on together but it needs to make attempts to be. You want to win her heart back and the only way that's going to happen is if you get her away from him and use that time wisely.
