It can be very difficult indeed to make it work when you're trying to stay with your cheating wife because you just can't afford to live apart. The financial outlook for many families around the world right now is grimmer than it's been in a long time and people are trying to do things they may not otherwise do in order to make ends meet.

Now that you've made the decision to stay together and stand with your wife, for the time being at the very least, you now have to figure out how to live with that decision and make the best of a situation that is less than desirable.

• Learn to bend without breaking. There is a difference in bending or yielding and becoming a doormat. Find the happy medium and you may learn that the new attitude is contagious.

• Have a positive attitude about your situation. It's hard. This is not the most pleasant of outcomes but it could always be worse. Your attitude can make the situation much better or infinitely worse.

• Learn to communicate with your wife. Listening and contributing to the conversations are both important if you want to feel as though you're point is getting made and you want her to feel as though you are hearing what she has to say.
