No man wants to find out his wife is cheating. If you are unlucky enough to find yourself in this situation it's a good idea to know how to react and what you should do next. Unfortunately there aren't any simple solutions to this that will work for every guy in your situation. There are some things you can do that will allow you to take the "high road" to some degree so that you can hold your head high at the end of the day.

What is the first thing you should do when you find out your wife has been cheating on you?

Take a Time Out

Have you seen those commercials for the candy bar? You know the ones. A question is asked that could very well be a trick question or just might land you deeper in trouble and the proper response is to buy yourself a little time by stuffing a candy bar in your mouth. While this particular method could pack on the pounds there is a golden nugget of truth in taking a moment, a time out, before you make any life altering decisions or say something you can never take back.

Do not allow yourself to be rushed into making a decision or confronting the issue until you've been able to absorb it and make a decision. It's just not a good idea to make major decisions like this when you're angry and hurting. Taking your candy bar "moment" (though in reality you are going to need a little more than a moment) will buy you a little time so that you can make the right decision for you from the start.

Go Back to the Beginning to Start Over Right

If you decide to give her a second chance (and there's no rule written or unwritten that requires you to do that) you have to go back to the beginning. It isn't fair to either of you to carry over anger from before. You have to give and receive a clean slate or the second chance is doomed from the start.

What does this fresh start give both of you? It gives you the opportunity to go back to the beginning and prevent any minor irritations from becoming wide gulfs that divide you. It gives you a second chance to talk about problems before they get too large and too much resentment is created to deal with them on a logical rather than an emotional basis that is likely to escalate very fast.

Warning! It isn't as hard to get your ex back as you've been lead to believe but don't follow these instructions: http://www.getyourexbacknow.com/just_break_up3.html unless you're serious.
