Many women believe that a cheating husband is a bad thing. And it is. But, your cheating husband isn't necessarily a bad man. It's amazing how our human perception of someone can change in an instant at times.

Think about it. How many times have you had this experience? A friend, family member, or other loved one has been cheated on by his or her husband or wife. Did you not instantly think that other person, the one who hurt your friend or loved one by cheating, was a vile evil person?

It's a little difference when your husband is the one that's cheating though, isn't it? It's not like you can suddenly erase all the years you spent believing he was a good man at heart. It doesn't instantly eliminate all the love you have for him. It might shatter your heart, hurt you to the core, and even wound your pride a bit but it doesn't make you suddenly believe that he has been taken over by his evil twin or something.

Perfection is an Impossible Dream

The hardest lessons to learn in life are the ones that involve good people making mistakes, doing bad things, and letting us down. Unfortunately, there aren't any perfect people walking around on the planet today.

No matter how much we'd like to think we found the one perfect partner, there is a danger in having expectations of perfection in the people we love.

Realistic Expectations Build Happy Marriages

When you expect the person you love (husband, wife, or otherwise) to be perfect in every way you are setting them and your marriage up for failure. No one can live up to those lofty expectations and the only way to go from there is down.

Oddly enough, it is those faulty expectations that often lead to cheating. Not that it's your fault he cheated but if he feels he isn't making you happy or that you are never satisfied with him and his contribution to the relationship he will be more likely to stray than a man who feels that his wife is happy with him at home.

One Action Doesn't Change the Man

While this is true and the action doesn't change him, it can certainly change your perception of him. Eventually it can change how you feel about him altogether but that will take a little time to sort out.

For the time being it is important that you make a decision to either forgive him for cheating provided he leaves his cheating in the past and doesn't do it again or experience a future without the good man you married in it.

If you've changed your mind after letting him slip away there is something you can do that will help you get your ex back fast.
